yep i have a messy room Shirt charity shop Jeans Topshop Shoes Topshop |
Anyway yeah I'm going to admit i am writing this half asleep/falling asleep. So I'm sorry if i say stuff that doesn't seem to make sense.
Weird day at work today, Phone lines were down so we couldn't really call people as it was all crackly, Pretty pointless when working in a call centre but oh well it went quite quick. I'm thinking of quitting soon as i am applying for a job at Tkmaxx (lol) my friend works there and it's good pay so yar.
This shirt i bought in a charity shop earlier today, I wasn't too sure about it as it was an XL and goes down to just above my knees so it's pretty hard to tuck into jeans etc, but i loved the pattern so i just had too!
I need your help..A lot! my 'manager' lol dunno the main person at Strike got in contact with me and asked me if i would consider getting a fringe cut in. I presume she means a straight cut fringe but then again i don't know. BUT i really do want one i mean I've always wanted one and they said they think it'll suit my face, but what do you think? I would do it straight away if i didn't have a fucking annoying cow lick at the front of my hair line. So if i have a fringe it never lays flat and always seperates because the weight doesn't hold down the cow lick, if you have no idea what a cow lick is then this probably isn't making much sense. I don't really know what else they are called, or how to describe them? hmm anyway what do you all think! and do you have any tips on cowlicks that may help me if i DO decide to get a fringe.
Hope you all had a lovely weekend! And i shall post again soon. I'm so looking forward to getting some money soon i need some new clothes. I am off to newport pagnell (close to milton keynes) soon i think so i will do some shopping there.
I think you would really suit a fringe! But it might be difficult with a cowlick, just mention it to her and see what she says :) xx
ReplyDeletelove the shirt, the print is so lovely! I think a full fringe would look lovely on you x
ReplyDeleteI think a straight-cut fringe would look really good on you, the whole long hair and blunt-cut fringe look is really nice and edgy :) If you ask the hairdresser to cut it sort of heavy enough then hopefully it'll stay in place - failing this I used to get mine into place and then just lightly hairspray it so it would vaguely stay put! Sorry this comment has turned into a mini essay on fringes haha ;) xx
ReplyDeletegorgeous top, looks really nice. think a fringe like that would look lush on you, I say definitely get it!

I've always thought a fringe would suit you, you know! Yeah a full fringe, it would really bring out your eyes too.
ReplyDeleteI really like this outfit, its making me want to wear jeans but my legs aren't as long as yours! Lucky about work today! and glad it went fast, good luck applying at tk too!!!
love the top, so pretty! great find!

I also suffer from a stupid cowlick at the front of my hairline but i have a fringe. What you have to do is when you wash your hair quickly blow dry your fringe in the opposite way to the cowlick. mine goes from right to left so i brush it to the right at first then to the left quickly and then straight down. This should work. Let me know if it does. I'll send you a message on twitter now so you know who i am and can update me of the results.

I used to have a fringe and had the same cowlick problem. It's a pain in the ass because your fringe will always part in the middle. If you want to see how it suits you I'd suggest you buy one of those fake fringes off asos, they look real and if it doesn't suit you you didn't already cut it.

oh the skirt is gorrrrrrgeous! I think you should go for a fringe, i reckon it will suit you! If not it will grow back ;-) xxxxx
ReplyDeleteso cute! love those pants! xx
ReplyDeleteDo it get the fringe! If you really hate it it will grow out fairly quickly, and you never know you might want to keep it...
ReplyDeleteFailing a dead straight fringe you could always go for a side fringe (good for combating the cowlick). Or get one cut so that it looks as though it grown out. that way you can get used to it, then maybe go the whole hog.
Fell I should add I am deeply envious of your lovely locks! :)
i had the same problem with the fringe but if u get it cut heavy enough and in to your hair like at the sides(this makes no sense)it stays, i just sprayed the underneath with hairspray aswell when i had mine and if it doesnt suit you you can always grow it out or clip it back :)
ReplyDeletelove these shots looking good girl :)
ReplyDeletelove how much deodrant you have haha.

Omg how weird I live in Newport pagnell! There are no clothes shops other than charity shops though! It's tiny, do you have friends there? Have fun! Love your outfit xxx
ReplyDeleteYou could always cut the end of the blouse and hem it if it's too long? It's really nice! That style of fringe would suit you, just straighten it and use hair spray to hold it in place x
ReplyDeleteBest charity shop find ever. If you ever tire of it, I'd be happy to take it off your hands! The print and sheer-ness is spot on (: Oh gosh, I can't even imagine working in a call centre with phonelines down; I remember the Internet being down when I was the PR intern at Eyeko, such a nightmare when you're emailing publications with press releases! xx
ReplyDeletegorgeous top! X
ReplyDeleteGood luck with applying for Tkmax. Fingers crossed! About the cows lick; i used to have one and when i got my fringe cut in ages ago i just sort of trained it to stay in place with the rest of my fringe; for the first week its a bit difficult to keep it there, but when you wash your hair if you blow dry the cows lick down with a brush- if that makes sense, eventually you will tame it ! hope that helps! - Cute top x
ReplyDeletethe shirt looks lush. cant even tell its an XL xo

ReplyDeleteI reckon you should just go for it! I have a cows lick as well and when I had a full fringe I use to blow dry it and maybe you could also use velcro rollers you can kind of set it!

The shirt is lovely and i adore stripped floors!!
ReplyDeleteI have a cowlick and used to have a fringe. My hairdresser said to just blast it down with a hairdrier when wet so it would get used to sitting in that position... seemed to work. And get her to cut your fringe with a slight choppy layer through it so that it doesn't sit really flat!
